  • Every day is a new learning experience. Being part of a larger team helps keep me grounded. When I've had a specific issue, there's always been someone else in the system who has already solved it. This can save valuable time and effort.
  • Advice for aspiring franchise owners:
  • Carefully consider how this change will impact your life and work. Weigh the risks and rewards, remembering there are no rewards without risk. Make a decision and then execute on that decision—and follow through. Don't accept anything less than success. Make your plan and do whatever it takes to meet the goal.

BILL’S STORY

After a friend told him about their experience owning a Mr. Appliance® franchise, Bill Crane wondered if the path was right for him too. He conducted research about Neighborly® and found that the Code of Values was a close fit with his own value system. He also realized that operating as an independent owner while leveraging the comprehensive support and process structure of the franchise system would be a win-win situation.

So, when Bill saw the opportunity to purchase an established franchise location in Alabama, he jumped at the chance. In 2015, he became the owner of Mr. Appliance Huntsville, and set his sights on business growth.

“We saw this as an opportunity to take control of our own future and lives,” Bill said. “We made the decision to operate a truly employee and customer centric business.”
