Jo’s Story

Jo McCabe had great success as a government contractor and Navy reservist, but she wanted a career shakeup. So in 2008, she decided to start her own business and set out to purchase an existing franchise. When she found out that Mr. Handyman® of Northern Virginia was available, she jumped at the opportunity. Besides, where else could she control her schedule and bring her black lab, Zoe, to the office every day?

Jo credits her franchise success to the relationships she’s built with other owners, the proven Neighborly system, and the ability to create repeat income. And here’s a fun fact about Jo: She attended Christmas Midnight Mass at the Vatican when Pope John Paul II presided.
