FAQ: Mr. Appliance Franchise Ownership
-
How involved will I be in the day-to-day services?
You’ll be managing the business, not doing the repairs. Ideal for executive owners and self-starters, you’ll have the opportunity to hire and lead a team of licensed, experienced professionals who will do the repair work.
-
Why should I pick Mr. Appliance vs. other repair-type franchises?
Because you’re not just buying an appliance repair franchise — you’re gaining the Neighborly advantage. Mr. Appliance stands apart with a trusted name, proven systems, and a business model built for leaders. As part of the Neighborly family, the world’s leading home services franchisor, you gain access to unmatched resources to help you succeed.
-
Do I need to have industry experience?
No. You’ll be running a customer-service oriented business that happens to be exceptional at repairing appliances. We’re looking for service-minded leaders with solid business acumen, relationship and team-building experience, and the ability to be the face of the business from a sales, networking, and marketing perspective.
-
How much money do I need to start?
The estimated Initial Investment range is $116,500–$214,850, which includes the Initial Franchise Fee of $63,750. Please see our What’s The Cost? page, and refer to Item 7 and Item 5 of the 2025 Mr. Appliance SPV LLC Franchise Disclosure Document for complete details. Talk to a franchise expert to learn about financing opportunities.
-
As an owner, will I have training throughout this process?
Your business setup and systems training are key aspects of Sure Start training. Shadowing with other owners for on-the-job training is an option. Training on the trade itself is not directly provided for you or your team members, but we can help guide you to the professional resources via technical training schools and industry trade groups that help get your technicians up to speed quickly, covering technical skills, safety protocols, and customer service expectations. Training details are outlined in the Franchise Development Document (FDD).
-
Will I have marketing support for my business?
Yes! Marketing support comes in various forms, from marketing collateral to a localized website. Plus, we provide you with a custom marketing plan, marketing playbooks, and coaching to get you started toward achieving your goals.
