Do I love HouseMaster? Absolutely. I’ve met a lot of great connections and it’s helped me to get to the place of where I’m at today, to start thinking about retirement.
I had a unique opportunity. [Before I became a franchise owner] I worked side-by-side with another HouseMaster franchisee, so I knew what the business was capable of.
Probably one of the best things about a [Neighborly®] franchise is the network of other franchisees.
Brian Wetzel didn’t set out to become a franchise business owner — at least not right away.
Like many in law enforcement, he always had a second job. In this case, as a house inspector for a local HouseMaster franchise owner. What started as a five-year side gig as a licensed electrician quickly sparked a bigger vision.
“I had a unique opportunity,” Brian says. “I worked side by side with another franchisee, so I knew what the business was capable of.”
When a nearby territory opened up, Brian didn’t hesitate. He purchased his own HouseMaster franchise in 2009. Now, with over a decade of ownership under his belt, Brian credits much of his success to the strong franchisee network.
Through the ups and downs of business ownership, Brian has stayed focused on the positive. And that mindset — along with a proven system and community support — has brought him to a milestone many business owners only dream about: planning for retirement.
“Do I love HouseMaster? Absolutely. I’ve met a lot of great connections and it’s helped me to get to the place where I’m at today, to start thinking about retirement.”
Through years of dedication, Brian has built a legacy. His commitment to learning, growing, and supporting others in the HouseMaster network has strengthened his own franchise and inspired those around him.
What started as a leap of faith became a journey defined by perseverance, gratitude, and the satisfaction of seeing hard work pay off.
