If it wasn’t for Neighborly and this brand, my life would look a lot different.

I get to work with my family every day. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for us.

Being part of Neighborly opened up an entrepreneurial spirit in my kids that I didn’t even know they had.

Their model and process—it’s proven. It’s simplified.

I absolutely love the business, I love the model, and I love Neighborly.

For Kendra, joining Lawn Pride® wasn’t just a career move; it had a meaningful impact on her life.

“I’m so thankful for everything Mom and Dad have done for me,” she says. “If it wasn’t for Neighborly® and this brand, my life would look a lot different.” And for this father-daughter duo, business ownership has brought opportunity, purpose, and a future they never imagined.

Kendra’s dad first entered the Neighborly family years ago when he acquired The Grounds Guys® in 2014. The decision planted a seed that eventually opened the door for his daughter. When their family expanded into Lawn Pride, Kendra saw a chance to step into something meaningful. She had been working a job that made her unhappy and unfulfilled. But watching her dad build a business inspired her to imagine something more. “I’m very grateful he did it,” she says. “It helped me leave a job I was very unhappy in.”

Today, she’s fully immersed in the family business—grateful, motivated, and proud. “I get to work with my family every day,” she says, holding back tears. “I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for us.”

For her dad, this opportunity means even more than financial opportunity. It’s about legacy. “Our family has always had an entrepreneurial spirit,” he explains. Early in his career, he worked for an entrepreneur whose influence deeply shaped him. Years later, that same spark revealed itself in his children. “Being part of Neighborly opened up an entrepreneurial spirit in my kids that I didn’t even know they had,” he says. “It is so exciting to see.”

Their shared story is strengthened by one key factor: total confidence in Lawn Pride and the Neighborly model. They encourage every prospective owner to visit the Indianapolis headquarters. “Their model and process—it’s proven. It’s simplified.”

That simplicity is what made the transition possible for Kendra. She entered with little operational knowledge but found support at every turn. “It comes with challenges, of course,” she says, “but having people within Neighborly and corporate that you can reach out to has been a huge help. I came in knowing next to nothing, but I had so many people I could learn from.” Today, she speaks with confidence: “I absolutely love the business, I love the model, and I love Neighborly.”

And as they look to the future, father and daughter share the same vision: growth, impact, and taking their business “to the fullest.” Their goals are aligned for themselves, their team, and their customers. “I have true confidence in Lawn Pride and the Neighborly family,” her dad says. “We’re going to get there.”

For this family, Lawn Pride has been much more than a business opportunity. It has been a catalyst shaping their careers, strengthening their bond, and giving them a path forward they couldn’t have found anywhere else.

A proven model. A supportive franchise family. And a chance to build something together. For Kendra and her dad, Lawn Pride didn’t just change their work; it changed their lives.
